About Petek Kent Photography

Petek and her adorable 3 year old live in NYC. Life is busy as a stay-at-home mom and every day is filled with incredible love, sweet peace and the greatest happiness. In her free time, Petek has been working on writing projects and art photography projects. Petek is passionate about her avocations and received great support from her teachers. She earned an A recently for a Stanford Continuing Studies creative writing course and she took a dozen art photography courses in the early 2000's and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.8 at the School of Visual Arts. She also attended Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design.

As soon as Petek learned how to use scissors, she began creating collages. Before she turned 10, she had the great honor of being selected to paint a group mural for The Electric Company magazine, an offshoot of the well-known PBS show. To this day, Petek continues to doodle and sketch to clear her mind and she loves creating abstracts, using charcoal or paints.
